What an Auto Responder can do for you…

I can tell you 3 weeks ago I had no clue what a Auto Responder was or what it did. What I found out is quite amazing. I have learned that this Auto Responder is a simple way to earn residual income and it allows you to free up time so you can successfully build your online or offline business.

Here is what an Auto Responder can do for you:

Autoresponder’s usually come with a capture page or blog. On your capture page or blog will be a form for your visitor to enter his name and email address. Capturing a person’s name into your data base is done by adding a subscription form to your website, blog, or social networking site, to convert website visitors into targeted prospects for your offers.
Once the visitor has entered his name and email, it triggers the automated sending of pre-written messages that you will have set up about your company or product.

The email’s that you send to your subscribers can be as simple as a thank you note for a recent purchase, answers to customers inquiries, or elaborate newsletter type messages that provides product overviews, company updates, upcoming conference calls, or testimonials. You can write a pre-written message for whatever you want to keep your customers informed about.

An autoresponder is also an excellent tool to teach new business affiliates who have joined your affiliate Program or business. You could systematically send out pre-written training information to your new members or even to your entire team.

List Building

You should be building a customer data base consisting of the name, address, and phone number of every person you have made contact with in the course of developing your business from day one to the present. This data base is often referred to as your “list”. It is one of the most important “to do’s” for the home business owner. An Auto Responder is indispensable for building and maintaining this list.

Customer Follow-Up

Follow-up is very important for the success of your home based business. It is important to have immediate and long term contact with potential or existing customers. Purchasing an autoresponder for this purpose from the start of your business is a wise decision. It will save you much time and make follow-up a simple and more efficient practice.

Five to Seven Followup Exposures

Studies have shown that most people need between 5-7 exposures before they make a decision to buy or make subsequent purchases. Messages can be sent to an individual or to your entire customer data base in a single broadcast or spread out over several days. They allow you to control the dates and number of times messages are sent out. For example, you could set up your responder to send a message immediately, then 2 days later a different message, on day 5 you could send yet another, day seven a 4th message and so forth.

No Spamming

Auto Responders are not to be used as a spamming device. Do not send unsolicited email to people with this software. The contacts in your data base should consist of people who have actually asked you for information. Contacts can be made from networking activities on-line and off-line.

Happy Customers

Do not abuse your contact’s trust by constantly soliciting them with over-hyped sales pitches. Simply remind your contacts that you are still in business by providing them with free quality information on an ongoing basis through your automatic messages and you will be rewarded with happy, loyal, and repeat customers.

Things to do to sell yourself

The Product is You!

When I say the product is you that is that you are the one selling yourself. It is important to be able to sell yourself as a person to others.
Despite the necessity of being able to sell yourself to others, for many people like myself it does not come naturally. Introversion, shyness, and lack of self-worth are just a few of the obstacles that can potentially get in the way. To overcome such obstacles, I suggest focusing on the following:

Be Sold on Yourself

T
his is the first, and perhaps most important, aspect to successfully selling yourself to others. Unless it comes naturally, this is probably also the hardest. Being sold on yourself comes down to this: you must be aware of your own self-worth. This means you believe in yourself, have faith in yourself, and have confidence in yourself.
Being sold on yourself is not something that usually happens overnight. For many years, I did not like myself. I can, however, personally attest that it is possible to change your life and gain a sense of self-worth when there was once none. If you struggle with your sense of self-worth, here are just 4 ideas that may help:

  1. Live in such a way that you would want to be friends with yourself
  2. Find some time to reflect on what you like about yourself. If this seems hard, start with the smallest of attributes.
  3. Don’t do anything that will give you cause to feel ashamed later.
  4. Get rid of the negative things in your life. The stuff that brings you down.

Have a Saleable Package

This article is predominately about letting others know about the inner contents of your package. That being said, there is no getting around the fact that people judge others based on their appearance. Some questions you may consider asking yourself are: am I looking after my appearance to the best of my ability? Are my clothes appropriate for the image I wish to project?

Be Positive and Enthusiastic

Can you remember the last time you received poor customer service? Did the person look bored, disinterested, and as if they wanted to be anywhere but that place? Don’t be that person. Positivity and enthusiasm can both be developed, but once again it takes work. Here are a few tips to help you:

• Look for the best in people
• Associate with positive people
• Care deeply about something
• See life as an adventure
• Smile

Be Real and Authentic

Rather than being about who you appear to be, selling yourself is about letting others know who you are as a person. For this reason, lies and half-truths are a recipe for disaster later down the line. By telling the truth, you will earn both trust and respect which, in turn, will help you build a great reputation. Be yourself is what I always like to say. Not only that, it will make you feel good about yourself. The last thing you want to do is sell yourself out by compromising your values and principles. Stick with what you believe and respect others.

In conclusion a good proverb to follow is: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.Philippians 4:13

I hope this is some help to those that read this.
