Discover How To Improve Your Disc Golf Game!

Recently I came home from a disc golf weekend with 5 of my friends. We spent 3 days at a disc golf mecca in High Bridge, Wisconsin. We played over 150 holes and spent a fair amount of time looking for our discs that went astray in the woods. I will tell you that my arm was a little sore but I was able to enjoy every minute of my time out in God’s country playing a game that I like very much.

What I noticed is that distance is not as important as knowing how to putt. If you can putt in 30ft putts consistently you can greatly improve your game and impress your friends. Here are a few tips that I hope will improve your putting game.

  1. Your putting grip
  2. Your focus
  3. The sweet spot

With your grip you need to have all 4 fingers under the disc with your thumb up on top. Make sure you have a good firm grip from top to bottom. When practicing your putting get a friend and spread out 30ft and throw as straight as you can to each other. Do this over and over to get comfortable with throwing to that person so when the person catches your disc, he or she is not moving the body left or right.

Now that you have that done the next thing is to keep your focus on the basket and not on things that are happening around you. Turn 45 degrees from the target and judge the distance. Once you have the distractions out of your mind focus now on the sweet spot until you don’t see anything else. I try to focus on the right chain and then pick a chain link to hit. That particular chain link is your sweet spot. Before you throw, imagine your throw going into the basket. Hit that sweet spot and put it in to the chains. CaChing!

Those are just a few tips to improve your disc golf game so grip it and let it rip.

Graphic DesignWhy Graphic Design Is So Important For Your Business?

There are many ways to build an online or offline business and there are many tools that work to do that. The internet is an amazing tool to do that with. One thing that many oversee is the graphic design and layout of your look and brand of your business. Good graphic design is one tool that is a definite area that you need to succeed in this world. There are different aspects of what good graphic design is and some of it is very objective but what I can tell you is that typography, layout and the use of colors is very important.

Typography
When you see good design you know it is easy on the eyes and is very readable. That brings me to talk about typography. Choosing the right font is essential to anyone that wants to brand themselves. For example look at the company Sears: They use a font with a line through all the letters with the slogan: “Life. Well spent.” That’s all they did to brand themselves was the use of good typography. That my friend is good graphic design. There are many great examples like Craftsman, Kenmore and Panasonic that have done very similar designs.

Layout
Layout can be a complicated part of design. Layout is really what makes or breaks a good design. If the layout is eye catching and easy to read then you know you got a good design. Suppose you see a design that catches your eye that is simple and to the point with very little distractions. You know what I am talking about right? Something that grabs your attention and you start reading or you are just amazed at the shear beauty of the colors or simplicity of the layout.

Colors
With colors you want to use colors that compliment each other. Colors are mostly used to attract your eye so when you design something use colors that will go well with your design. Lets say you have a logo that has the colors yellow and black. When you begin to create a web-page, newsletter, flyer or business card for instance you would want to incorporate your colors from your logo. You would not want to use different colors like red and white. I know this sounds simple but if you don’t know what good graphic design is then you may just like to put a plethora of colors together. Remember just to keep it simple and attractive for your customers.

You need good design as it is what will set you apart in your business. Fill out the form and let me help you create a pleasing design that will attract your customers.

Discover why you need to know your tools!

Discover why you need to know your tools!

I am reminded just about every week from some great marketers to know my tools. What does that mean? Well it means exactly what it says. If you are a marketer and you don’t know your tools of your trade then what are you doing in that trade? Right?

I am reminded of a TV show that I watched the other day and it was called Cash Cab. It’s about a Taxi Driver who drives around New York and picks up people and brings them to their destination. What these people do not know is that when they enter into the cab they enter into a trivia game.  Once they agree to play the game they have to answer questions of general knowledge to earn cash. Well that got me thinking that knowing general knowledge is a lot like knowing your tools. Knowing your tools should be second hand to everyone that is in business. If you don’t know your tools then you should not be in business.

You see with any profession you are in, you will need to know how your tools work. Example: A doctor needs to know how to use a Stethoscope, a mechanic needs to know how to use a wrench, and finally a network marketer needs to know how to use an auto responder. This is so vital for your business and pretty simple to understand. Now you just have to go out and learn your tools if you don’t know them already.

You need this tool if you have a small business or online business. This is an essential tool for any business to grow and if you don’t know this tool then that is where I am here to help you out. Fill out the form for valuable information that you need to know.

What is Geocaching? Find out how fun searching for treasures can really be.

I first found out about geocaching about 7 years ago while living in Southern California. I was hanging out with a friend of mine and he showed me what this geocaching was. I thought he was kidding when he said we would be finding treasures all off the city. Right away I got hooked and have been searching for these treasures ever since.

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment. Search for a geocache below or learn more about getting started.

The amazing thing about this hobby is that it brings the kid out in you. Have you every dreamed of finding a treasure or seen a movie about a hidden treasure that someone found? Well this is exactly what geocaching is and a perfect way to get outside and enjoy God’s given nature instead of sitting on the couch watching TV. I challenge each and everyone of you to give this a try. You might actually enjoy it and share it with those that you love.

What an Auto Responder can do for you…

I can tell you 3 weeks ago I had no clue what a Auto Responder was or what it did. What I found out is quite amazing. I have learned that this Auto Responder is a simple way to earn residual income and it allows you to free up time so you can successfully build your online or offline business.

Here is what an Auto Responder can do for you:

Autoresponder’s usually come with a capture page or blog. On your capture page or blog will be a form for your visitor to enter his name and email address. Capturing a person’s name into your data base is done by adding a subscription form to your website, blog, or social networking site, to convert website visitors into targeted prospects for your offers.
Once the visitor has entered his name and email, it triggers the automated sending of pre-written messages that you will have set up about your company or product.

The email’s that you send to your subscribers can be as simple as a thank you note for a recent purchase, answers to customers inquiries, or elaborate newsletter type messages that provides product overviews, company updates, upcoming conference calls, or testimonials. You can write a pre-written message for whatever you want to keep your customers informed about.

An autoresponder is also an excellent tool to teach new business affiliates who have joined your affiliate Program or business. You could systematically send out pre-written training information to your new members or even to your entire team.

List Building

You should be building a customer data base consisting of the name, address, and phone number of every person you have made contact with in the course of developing your business from day one to the present. This data base is often referred to as your “list”. It is one of the most important “to do’s” for the home business owner. An Auto Responder is indispensable for building and maintaining this list.

Customer Follow-Up

Follow-up is very important for the success of your home based business. It is important to have immediate and long term contact with potential or existing customers. Purchasing an autoresponder for this purpose from the start of your business is a wise decision. It will save you much time and make follow-up a simple and more efficient practice.

Five to Seven Followup Exposures

Studies have shown that most people need between 5-7 exposures before they make a decision to buy or make subsequent purchases. Messages can be sent to an individual or to your entire customer data base in a single broadcast or spread out over several days. They allow you to control the dates and number of times messages are sent out. For example, you could set up your responder to send a message immediately, then 2 days later a different message, on day 5 you could send yet another, day seven a 4th message and so forth.

No Spamming

Auto Responders are not to be used as a spamming device. Do not send unsolicited email to people with this software. The contacts in your data base should consist of people who have actually asked you for information. Contacts can be made from networking activities on-line and off-line.

Happy Customers

Do not abuse your contact’s trust by constantly soliciting them with over-hyped sales pitches. Simply remind your contacts that you are still in business by providing them with free quality information on an ongoing basis through your automatic messages and you will be rewarded with happy, loyal, and repeat customers.

Traffic Wave

I use the TrafficWave auto responder for my Business. You need this for your online or offline business.

Click here to check out TrafficWave.

Traffic Wave is very user friendly and even gives you a free 30 day trial so you can test out the system before you decide to purchase it. There are several different auto responders on the market to choose from  but I found out that this has the best value.

Things to do to sell yourself

The Product is You!

When I say the product is you that is that you are the one selling yourself. It is important to be able to sell yourself as a person to others.
Despite the necessity of being able to sell yourself to others, for many people like myself it does not come naturally. Introversion, shyness, and lack of self-worth are just a few of the obstacles that can potentially get in the way. To overcome such obstacles, I suggest focusing on the following:

Be Sold on Yourself

T
his is the first, and perhaps most important, aspect to successfully selling yourself to others. Unless it comes naturally, this is probably also the hardest. Being sold on yourself comes down to this: you must be aware of your own self-worth. This means you believe in yourself, have faith in yourself, and have confidence in yourself.
Being sold on yourself is not something that usually happens overnight. For many years, I did not like myself. I can, however, personally attest that it is possible to change your life and gain a sense of self-worth when there was once none. If you struggle with your sense of self-worth, here are just 4 ideas that may help:

  1. Live in such a way that you would want to be friends with yourself
  2. Find some time to reflect on what you like about yourself. If this seems hard, start with the smallest of attributes.
  3. Don’t do anything that will give you cause to feel ashamed later.
  4. Get rid of the negative things in your life. The stuff that brings you down.

Have a Saleable Package

This article is predominately about letting others know about the inner contents of your package. That being said, there is no getting around the fact that people judge others based on their appearance. Some questions you may consider asking yourself are: am I looking after my appearance to the best of my ability? Are my clothes appropriate for the image I wish to project?

Be Positive and Enthusiastic

Can you remember the last time you received poor customer service? Did the person look bored, disinterested, and as if they wanted to be anywhere but that place? Don’t be that person. Positivity and enthusiasm can both be developed, but once again it takes work. Here are a few tips to help you:

• Look for the best in people
• Associate with positive people
• Care deeply about something
• See life as an adventure
• Smile

Be Real and Authentic

Rather than being about who you appear to be, selling yourself is about letting others know who you are as a person. For this reason, lies and half-truths are a recipe for disaster later down the line. By telling the truth, you will earn both trust and respect which, in turn, will help you build a great reputation. Be yourself is what I always like to say. Not only that, it will make you feel good about yourself. The last thing you want to do is sell yourself out by compromising your values and principles. Stick with what you believe and respect others.

In conclusion a good proverb to follow is: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.Philippians 4:13

I hope this is some help to those that read this.

The best way to overcome worries and failures is to find out what you need to do to come out of it. Fill your mind with positive thoughts and keep faith in God as this creates a ray of hope which enlightens your mind and subsequently your fear loses its hold upon you. Don’t look back at something which has already gone. Think of something which you can convert into success, as such action can release the amazing talents lying unused within you.

12 ways to overcome fear and frustrations in your life:
1. Know the source of your fear

2. First accept what has happened to make your mind cool and calm.

3. Relax your body and feel the tensions living your body by doing some body relaxation techniques.

4. Keep faith in God.

5. Don’t waste time by bringing negative thoughts in your mind. Instead, think that, “there is no better time than to start now”.

6. Find out your weaknesses and turn them into strong points.

7. Start believing in your hidden abilities.

8. Realise your potential and get motivated towards your Goal.

9. Try to tackle your problem with dedication and determination.

10. If you don’t find any solution, share your difficulties with your well wishers. They may have solution to your problem.

11. Take some time to read motivational stories of those persons who have achieved success, in spite of tough times in their life.

12. Always think of progress, prosperity and stay positive.

Perseverance

Perseverance is not about skill or talent. It’s simply about finishing what you started. There are a lot of good ideas that just stall or sputter until all momentum or desire is lost. For even the most talented individual, challenges, obstacles and failures are commonplace. Only when a person matches talent with perseverance do opportunities become avenues of success.

Perseverance goes the extra mile. It is an attitude, a sense of accomplishment. We are all creatures of completion. We feel great when we get things done. So does every member of our team.

As leaders, we must inspire accomplishments. This sometimes requires us to pull people along, other times it requires us to push people through barriers. Either way, perseverance is the key.

Be careful not to fall into the trap. Perseverance can attract roadblocks and excuses from those operating from fear, doubt or laziness. You have to sift through the reality from the excuses. Challenges are a normal part of doing business but they are only opportunities in disguise for those that choose to see them that way.

Remember perseverance means succeeding because you are determined to, not destined to.

Calvin Coolidge, the 30th President of the United States stated;
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “press on” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

Conduct you and your team’s effort with an attitude of ‘Success is closer that you think!’ Far too often people give up when success is right within their grasp. Perseverance is about building the right attitude and the right habits to succeed. If you or your team just give up on a goal, how do you know you just won’t give up on the next goal? You build individual and team character through persistent determination.
